I started this new thread because we were kinda getting off topic in the old one... lol.
Yeah, haha, I remember hearing Rufus's welcoming committe song and saying, "HEY! It's that song from the parade in FF7!!" And the Cloud refrence in Lindblum's weapon shop... and people were saying that Dagger is a combination of Rinoa and Tifa... and when you think about it, they kind of are.
Also... going back to the series roots... FFIX's battle music starts off with "duh nuh nuh nuh nuh NUH duh nuh nuh nuh nuh NUH" like in the older FF's, and also has the fanfare music like the older ones, and the crystals, the medieval-ish appearence, lol. A lot of the newer fans didn't like 9 because of this. ><
Heh, my favorite was Eiko's Mog. He isn't as rude as Mog from FFVI... but he's Mog, lol.

Yeah, my favourite's characters Setzer. When people make like Silver Haired Fanclubs they usually include Sephiroth, the remnants off AC Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz, Kuja and Riku off KH but never Setzer. He has silver hair!

My brother lozes setzer. everything he does on the computer involes setzer. He's pretty awsome. He does have silver hair, but those people don't want to include him because his game was on the snes, and i bet they didn't even play that console. i loved the snes, i used to play secret of mana all the time when we still had one.

Maybe they haven't played the older games...? Or maybe they're just doing villains.... lol.
You know Seymour from FFX looked a lot like Kuja in my opinion.

Maybe, I don't consider Riku a villain myself though I know he kinda is. I guess Seymour and Kuja do kinda look alike, except Seymour's hair is different. I don't like Seymour, he creeps me out...

There are tons of villains with silver hair... Like Lloyd from Legend of Dragoon, that guy from Breath of Fire IV.... gah.. I can't remember his name at the moment.
Yeah... Seymour was wierd.... especially when he tried to marry Yuna....

Gilgamesh, yeah. I've never got a high enough treasure hunter rank (which is surprising because I'm a scavenger) for him to tell me who he is. And I've never had him as a GF on FFVIII because I can't beat Odin.

Gilgamesh was a real person.... I think he killed children? Or he saved them? Soemthing like that....
Huh.. Seymour is fat... well, more muscular than fat, I would say...
One of my favorite things is that they brought back Fenrir from VI. I love that summon! And mount Gulug... I was listenin to that song last night... although I like the FFIX version better. It was also in Chocobo Racing :3 That game was awesome!

Yeah, I was in world history class and the name giglamesh. It was something like the first written story? About some heroic god like figure.

Gilgamesh: He was a legendary hero in Mesopotamian culture. In the library of Nineveh, there exist 12 slabs on which are written the exploits of Gilgamesh. The real Gilgamesh ruled Uruk in the 3d millennium BC, and later his tale was embellished to the point where Gilgamesh was a hero of legendary magnitude. Supposedly he was rather harsh as king, and so the god Anu created a wild man named Enkidu to stop him. However, Enkidu became the companion and servant of Gilgamesh after the two men had a test of their strength. There are many stories about the two of them; in one, they travel to defeat the forest guardian Humbaba (a. k. a. Huwawa); in another, Gilgamesh rejects a marriage propposal from Ishtar, the love goddess. Later Enkidu dies and Gilgamesh learns the location of a plant that granted eternal youth from Utnaphistim, survivor of the great flood. But a serpent steals it and Gilgamesh dies. The epic ends with the spirit of Enkidu promising to recover the objects that Ishtar gave to Gilgamesh. In FF5, Gilgamesh has a partner named Enkidoh; surely this is the Enkidu from legend.
In case anyone's interested... (not my words by the way)

Thank ya! You know, Humbaba sounds familiar... Enkidu did too, but I see where he's from now~
You know, there are other similiarties between FFIX and other, non FF square games. Like, Zidane's theif swords look a lot like the weapons Serge uses from Chrono Cross... and also Blank looks Kinda like Korcha (well, to me anyway)
Eh, I've noticed several things that are in used in various Squareenix games... Like, the Moogles in Secret of Mana, or Gaea's Navel in Chrono Cross (that was from Secret of Mana :3) I know here are more but I can't think of them right now.

I played Crystal Chronicals, but i didn't notice to many omages, that's probably because my memory card got getting disrupted in the middle of the game, so i was never able to finish it....
Has anyone watched FMA? I swear, right before they are gonna resrect thier mom, Al has the same shoes as Zidane! O.o
